A Weekend Of Love & Flowers

I love weddings.

It warms my heart to see 2 people in love who decides to tie-the-knot & be 'one' (Sounds corny, huh?)

For us, family; it's more of a time to visit & to catch up with everyone; something that most of us rarely have time for these days.


I was lucky to be able to attend my cousin's wedding. My schedule of late has been so crazy that for a while, it was really touch & go.

But God was good,not only was I in town, I even had enough time to organise the flowers for the wedding dinner; pin & wrist corsages as well as the table deco.

The flowers had to travel from 200 odd miles + survive 2 full days before the event (Thank God for my aunt who nearly always have double of everything; she had a spare fridge for me to store the flowers...hehe).

Despite the little crisis management issues, glitches here & there; the wedding reception was a success with plenty of music+dancing to entertain us, Non-stop pouring of wine, loads of laughter & basically a fun evening where everyone truly enjoyed themselves.

The bride's maid's wrist corsage landed into the hands of our little niece, who held onto it for the rest of the night.

She liked it so much that she brought it home & kept it in the fridge - and her exact words the next day when I saw her for lunch were "So that it would live longer"....well, she is 6 and a half!!!
:) Isn't she sweet?

A Very Delectable Opening

An event we've all been eagerly awaiting:

Time: 6PM (on a Friday???!!)

It read on the invitation card: First 100 guests who turns up in yellow, brown or white will receive a goody-bag..

I rummage through my entire wardrobe & this was the only outfit that resembles anything brown-ish!

hmm..still, I can't complain coz I got myself a goody-bag anyway..

It was a superbly-delectable opening. We had loads of fun snapping pictures, piggin..I meant munching on the buffet spread & basically contributing to the noise pollution that evening.

The cake-of-the-day - a yellow (but of course) 3 tiered cake with Mr bunny & his baking utensils

There were occasional shrieks as excited guests descended upon it. I was rather afraid that someone's excited hand gestures was going to bring this marvelous creation to the floor. But thank-god this bunny survived the evening!

I had to insist that Su takes a picture with this bunting!

We had so much fun, taking pictures of & with this bunting.

(Su, definitely $$ well spent, if I may say so)

So for those of you who finds this as facinating as us; do go by & see if this bunting is around for you to have some fun posing with!

At the end of the evening, we managed to get the very delectable-crew who worked tiredlessly throughout the evening for a picture taking session

We can soon walk in to 'Delectable' to view Su's superbly creative & second to none cakes; maybe sit down to enjoy coffee & a cup-cake or two without having the need to pre-book months in advance!!!

I heard thru the grape-vine that we are all in for some very pleasant surprises. I, for one can't wait for this truly spectacular new shop to open!!!
